Biography

Mike is a founding member and partner at Dynamic Safety L.L.C. since 2003, when he merged his company DiTallo & Associates with Dynamic Safety, Inc. Mike combines nearly 30 years of experience in collision reconstruction and investgation with a law enforcement background. He spent nearly 20 years in law enforcement in both Illinois and California, where he worked as a collision investigator, commercial vehicle inspector, motorcycle officer and reconstructionist. A leading educator in the field, he had been a faculty member at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety (formerly the Northwestern University Traffic Institute) for over 20 years developing and teaching courses. He also co‐authored two chapters in the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety textbooks “Traffic Crash Reconstruction” and “Traffic Investigation.” Mike has extensive hands on experience in heavy vehicle systems analysis and vehicle event data recorders. He has obtained a Class B & A CDL with air brake, tanker, and double/triple endorsements. Mike’s curriculum vitae is available upon request.
